ENTWINED's presentations from WTO Public Forum

ENTWINED was invited to participate at this years WTO Public Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, September 15-17.
1 300 people had registred for the Public Forum and ENTWINED hosted two well attented panels, the first discussing relationship between Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) and the WTO, the legal uncertainty between the two legal regimes at both the legislative and judicial levels, and what potential outcomes we may see in the future.

Panelists: Petros Mavroidis, Professor Columbia Law School, University of Neuchatel, Switzerland, part of the ENTWINED research team. Marceil Yeater Chief, Legal Affairs and Trade Policy Support CITES Secretariat, Benjamin Simmons Head, Trade, Policy and Planning Unit Economics and Trade Branch United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The session was moderated by Mark Halle, Director - Trade and Investment, IISD, part of the ENTWINED research team.
 
The second panel examined the need to rethink accountability of the WTO.
